Martin Mars flown by Coulson Flying Tankers is moored at Lake Shasta during the Northern California Wildfires of 2008. These photos were taken July 28, 2008.
Heavy smoke and haze reduced visibility this day and "Hawaii Mars" was grounded. She did warm her engines for about 30 minutes during my visit.
Coulson is based at Sproat Lake, near Port Alberni on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
